to be fair to his range of emotions, this is later interspersed with ‘cat watching you eat human food’ and ‘cat just sprayed with squirt bottle’

I’m watching P&P for the first time and omg I love these assholes. I read it once as a tween but was too busy being a self-centered kid (‘ugh romance ugh straight people ugh Austen is so conventional’) to notice that it’s actually a hilarious comedy about sarcastic antisocial dicks reluctantly falling in love

this is basically regency Much Ado About Nothing and I’m so pleasantly surprised
