Let us briefly meditate on the valet Bertie had before Jeeves, who denounced his employer as a moral leper in front of a dinner-party he was throwing, kept his job, and finally took it too far when he cribbed some fancy socks.
‘Yes, sir,’ said Jeeves in a low, cold voice, as if he had been bitten in the leg by a personal friend.

I had forgotten to warn Jeeves about the beard, and it came on him absolutely out of a blue sky. I saw the man’s jaw drop, and he clutched at the table for support. I don’t blame him, mind you. Few people have ever looked fouler than young Bingo in the fungus. Jeeves paled a little; then the weakness passed and he was himself again. But I could see that he had been shaken.
I keep trying to draw Raffles and Bunny and somehow end up drawing Jeeves and Wooster instead. 😦
