I am likewise pretending I was tagged by @vimyvickers who left this meme up for grabs.

Were you named after anyone? Nope! just a rock.
When was the last time you cried? Oh man, yesterday? two days ago? last week? I’m a constantly flowing waterworks, basically all of my emotions sometimes emerge as tears.

Do you like your handwriting? I didn’t for years, but I improved it in art school when I realized that letters are drawn shapes like any other, and I could alter my own handwriting if I thought of it as drawing.

What’s your favorite lunch meat? I don’t love cold cuts unless I roast the meat myself (but in that case: roast beef or lamb).
Do you have kids? lol no.
If you were a different person, would you be friends with you? I’d probably drive me crazy, honestly.
Do you use sarcasm? Perish the thought.
Do you still have your tonsils? Yes, they were terrified into submission by the nurse practitioner at the campus health center in undergrad who told me that if the infection did not respond to the meds, she’d have to remove them. I am person who is mortally afraid of all medical procedures, so I think I recovered out of sheer terror.
Would you bungee jump? Christ no.
What’s your favorite cereal? I don’t really like cereal? I guess I put those round chocolate corn ones on yogurt sometimes when I get bored with granola.
Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Not if I can get them off without doing so.
Do you think you are a strong person? I’m not muscular, but I am very very very stubborn.
What’s your favorite ice cream? Ben & Jerry’s Key Lime Pie ice cream, a seasonal flavor discontinued in like 2012. I write them requesting it back about twice a year.
What’s the first thing you notice about people? (god I totally misread this, my earlier answer made no sense) Attitude- if they seem aloof/judgey or approachable.
What’s your least favorite physical thing about yourself? I hate how round my chin/jaw is. Even when I was a scrawny pre-teen with hardly an extra ounce of fat on me, my face was a perfect oval. 😦 I’m so fucking envious of people with defined jaw lines.
What color pants and shoes are you wearing right now? black yoga pants and my magenta and lime running shoes, I’ve just been dog walking.
What are you listening to right now? The sounds of the park at sunset. So kids, ducks, and dogs, primarily.
If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Copper.
Favorite smell? Freshly cut cedar shavings, salt marsh at low tide, ripe wild grapes.
Who was the last person you talked on the phone with? My mother.
Favorite sport to watch? No.
Hair color? Naturally red, currently with ombré blonde tips.
Eye color? blue-grey.
Do you wear contacts? nope.
Favorite food? fresh-picked wineberries
Scary movie or comedy? Neither, unless it’s a very particular sort of comedy. I don’t like scary movies, but I get secondhand embarrassment so badly I can’t watch any comedy in which the humor is based on a character doing something dumb/embarrassing and being laughed at (either in-show or by the audience).
Last movie you watched? I don’t remember. Might have been Dunkirk.
What color shirt are you wearing? olive green
Summer or winter? neither, fall all the way.
Hugs or kisses? depends on who with.
Book you’re currently reading? Interpreting Our Heritage by Freeman Tilden.
Who do you miss right now? former roommates/besties who are now busy being adults on the other side of the country. 😦
What’s the last TV program you watched? the Man From U.N.C.L.E.
What’s the best sound? the smooth splish of a paddle cutting the water
Rolling Stones or The Beatles? The Beatles.
What’s the furthest you ever traveled? The Azores Islands, which I think are technically closer than England (farthest I’ve gone by miles), but are much more remote.
Do you have a special talent? I’m a really good copy editor.
Where were you born? a small town on the south coast of massachusetts.

Meme!

Rules: answer the 19 questions and tag some amazing people you would like to get to know better. Tagged by @amarguerite

  1. name: mica
  2.
nickname: I’ve… never really had one.
  3. zodiac sign: no.
  4. height: 5′3″
  5. orientation: gay
  6. ethnicity: white
  7. favorite fruit: wineberries. I haven’t had any in years, though. ;__;
  8. favorite season: fall, definitely! Especially in New England, when the days are crisp and clear, with blue skies and the sun making the red leaves and the goldenrod burn like a fire but a bite of frost is still lingering in the air like a promise, and you can smell the scent of ripe concord grapes wafting over the golden hayfields. ….I just made myself homesick, damn it.
  9. favorite book series: Terry Pratchett’s Discworld, for sure.
  10. favorite flower: chive flowers! they’re like delightful edible purple pom-poms.
  11. favorite scent: ripe concord grapes, beeswax candles burning, fresh-cut cedar shavings, low tide on a saltmarsh. That particular cocktail of scents would be my olfactory description of home.
  12. favorite color: green! specifically, warm greens like avocado or chartreuse.
  13. coffee, tea, or cocoa: coffee, but unfortunately I’m so sensitive to caffeine that I have to have decaf most of the time. 😦
  14. average sleep hours: ideally for me to function like a human, 8.5-9, but what I normally get is more like 7. If I get less than 6 I start losing important things like ‘speech’ and ‘motor skills’ and ‘ability to safely operate vehicle’ and if I go more than two-three days with less than six I end up sitting on the floor sobbing in public. Sleep is important.
  15. cat or dog person: dogs! I like cats very much when they belong to other people and I don’t have to cohabit with them. Kind of like babies, honestly.
  16. favorite fictional characters: in no order: Tiffany Aching, Sam Vimes, Maladict(a), Polly Perks, Remus Lupin, Sherlock Holmes, Sch’n T’gai Spock, Elim Garak, Kira Nerys, Reginald Jeeves, William Laurence, Tenzing Tharkay, Horatio Hornblower, Henry Higgins, Carolyn Knapp-Shappey.
  17. dream trip: Antarctica! My more realistic version is “Greenland or Alaska, maybe.” I want to experience big glaciers before there….. are less big glaciers…. And if it’s Alaska, the dream is to road trip it, camping along the way.
  18.
blog created: february 2011. man I miss livejournal sometimes.
  19.
number of followers: 2,495, which is a little alarming if I think about it too hard, tbh.
